Alvaro Mojica

Osteopath

Originally from Colombia and living in Australia since 2009, Alvaro’s involvement in Osteopathy was born from his passion for the health and fitness industry, and through his experience in treating sporting injuries and chronic pain management, as an Exercise Scientist.
He graduated with distinction from his Master’s degree in Osteopathy at Victoria University, and has since completed complementary qualifications in dry needling.
Alvaro’s approach to diagnosis and treatment is systematic and holistic, focusing on helping his patients achieve effective short-term pain relief, while encouraging and enabling them to realise healthier biomechanical movement patterns to build strength, flexibility and long-term pain-free movement.
In practice, he treats and manages a diverse range of conditions, ranging from postural issues associated with sedentary desk work, to sporting or activity-related injuries.
In combination with his hands-on Osteopathic treatment, Alvaro offers postural advice and education, movement retraining, and rehabilitation exercises to enhance his patients’ movement and long-term wellness.
Alvaro enjoys the gym, hiking, and Pilates. He loves many forms of artistic and creative expressions, including opera, classical music and contemporary ballet.
