Acupuncture by Cinta

Doctor of Chinese Medicine & Acupuncturist | formerly practising as Jacinta Shilling

The purpose of Cinta’s work is to create the space for your spirit to find freedom of expression.

With more than 30 years of experience in health and medicine, Cinta’s work is grounded in the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine and enriched by a natural intuition, deepened through decades of working closely with people, first in nursing, and then as a Doctor of Chinese Medicine.
Her approach brings together Traditional and Classical Chinese Medicine, clinical experience and an ability to listen and feel beyond the presenting symptoms, recognising the patterns, connections and subtle shifts within each person. This creates an integrative and highly individual way of working that honours the intelligence of the body and its innate drive towards balance, adaptation and preservation.

Her approach has evolved through decades of working with people, continued study, a wealth of life experience and a naturally intuitive understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, Cinta considers the whole person, physical, emotional and energetic, and tailors each treatment to the individual.

Cinta believes that our physical and emotional health cannot be separated from the lives we are living. Periods of challenge, transition and change affect us at all levels, and are opportunities to shift, grow and come into greater alignment with ourselves.

Her treatments are highly individual and draw upon Traditional and Classical Acupuncture, Intuitive Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Massage and Bodywork, Cupping, Gua Sha, Dietary Therapy and Lifestyle Guidance. Her work can also incorporate meditation, energetic awareness and gentle guidance where appropriate.

At the heart of Cinta’s practice is the experience of being seen, heard and held. Treatment provides a place to slow down, listen to what the body is communicating and support change in a way that is both grounded and deeply personal.

Whether you are seeking support for a physical health concern, moving through a period of change, feeling depleted or out of balance, or simply wanting to feel more connected to yourself, Cinta works with you as a whole person, supporting the body, mind and spirit towards greater health, ease and freedom.
